At Optimist Electronics we offer custom antenna installation solutions in Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding cities. We offer installation of UHF/VHF/FM antennas, digital set-top ATSC high-definition Over-The-Air (OTA) antenna signal receivers, system servicing and cabling.

Since June 12, 2009 all American television broadcast stations will broadcast only in digital format. Canadian TV stations also switching to digital broadcasting by August 2011!

As of this point, you can and will receive (up to) 26 purely digital channels (18 in high definition, 8 in standard definition), which are:

• Absolutely FREE - customer is paying only a one-time cost of equipment, installation and setup.
• Completely LEGAL and ALWAYS ON - there is no need to re-program the ATSC receiver, compared to FTA (Free-To-Air) satellite. You won't lose your TV every few weeks, and don't need to go and pay someone to get your TV back up.
• Unmatched Picture Quality - OTA digital signal is UNCOMPRESSED, compared to satellite and (most) cable channels. Also, there are no "snowy" or "ghosting" channels; if the tuner is able to receive a channel, the picture is perfect.
• Many modern TVs already come with built-in ATSC OTA tuners, so there may not be a need for a stand-alone tuner, so all you need is just an antenna setup!
